Finance Systems Accountant

A top leading law firm are looking for a Finance Systems Accountant to join their team in London on a permanent basis.

This role is a strategic and operational role within the finance team, responsibilities will include;

*Management and support for the maintenance and development of the firm's finance systems
*Work closely with IT and Finance to design and implement new systems
*Integrating finance systems that arise
*Work with external providers to ensure that the finance reporting tools are adopted to meet the firm's requirements
*Ensure that all outputs from the team are of the highest quality
*Developing specific proposals on how existing finance systems functionality can be used to improve the services provided by finance teams
*Manage the internal relationship between Finance and IT to provide enhanced reporting across the firm
*Propose and deliver improved daily/weekly operating reports to enable partners and fee earners to better understand the drivers of business performance
*Line management responsibility for the finance systems analyst
*Work closely with the project team assisting in the engagement of any new finance systems
*Review, revise and document the teams operating procedures and working practices to ensure that they are efficient and effective in meeting the firm' s goals
*Oversee month end processing and perform the year end processing

For this Finance Systems Accountant position, they are looking for someone with significant experience within a financial system role with some exposure to professional services, ideally in legal.

You will require outstanding communication skills and have the ability to cope with conflicting demands and tight deadlines.
