Credit Control Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a Top Law Firm, in their finance team as their Credit Control Manager. This position is based in Chelmsford in Essex and will be a 12-month contract.
As the Credit Control Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of credit controllers, and managing the efficiency and effectiveness of the credit control process as well as senior level stakeholder management and project work.
Some duties include but are not limited to:
Motivating, mentoring and providing leadership to the Credit Control Assistant Manager
Constantly monitor workflow of the team and identity areas where efficiencies
Responsibility for the Credit Control team, ensuring an effective and timely service is provided to the firm
Ensuring an effective and efficient workflow and accuracy of work at all times
To provide reports for the Senior Partner, Finance Director, Divisional Heads and Head of Financial Operations as required
Set cash collection and debt reduction targets alongside the Accounting Services Manager, Head of Financial Operations and Finance Director
Prepare cash-flow forecast with the management accounts team in-line with the firm's cash collection targets; reviewing receipt trends and billing performance
Prepare monthly board report on credit control performance

To be successful in your application, you will need to have previous team management experience, a strong understanding of a credit control function in an International Law firm as well as detailed knowledge of Solicitors Accounting Rules and VAT. Applicants must also have excellent communication and relationship building skills, developed in a partnership environment.
