Contentious Insolvency Senior Manager

A rare and highly influential role has arisen with one of the largest global consultancies in that they are looking to bolster up their Contentious Insolvency team in London by hiring an experienced Senior Manager.
The purpose of this role is to provide senior leadership to the team that undertakes complex contentious based insolvency cases including those that are Court appointed and in overseas jurisdictions. Operating as a Senior Manager will require you to plan, monitor and review all work prepared by the team whilst assisting the Partner group with marketing opportunities.
You will also lead on the larger more complex investigation cases whilst reporting progress up to the Partners and take charge of developing the technical skills in the team to conduct work that is of an advanced nature.
Having an understanding of antecedent transactions and other potential causes of action available to an officeholder will be key for this role as will the ability to identify and pursue these in the context of a variety of corporate insolvency processes.
You will be expected to show a degree of flexibility to deal with different types of appointments and to have detailed knowledge of the underlying corporate insolvency processes to efficiently progress caseloads. Strong written report skills will also be required based on the complex nature of the appointments that come through into this team.
Aside from hands-on case work, you will play an active role in developing team members in that you'll conduct appraisals twice a year and will be there to provide a variety of challenging work to the less experienced staff with the intent to progress their careers.
To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you'll need to be ACA/ ACCA / JIEB qualified, have the relevant technical experience working on contentious appointments, and be a strong enough manager to support the Partners strategically whilst also developing and upskilling the more junior team members.
