Business Manager
A top 20 leading law firm are looking for a Business Manager in either London or Dubai on a permanent basis.
The purpose of this Business Manager role is to provide hands on business support and guidance to the firm's businesses within the EMEA region and management teams. You will be contributing and supporting towards the development of the operational structure of the firm in the region.
Your general duties will include:
*Assisting the EMEA management teams and partners with
*Financial management of the businesses in the region, focusing on improving profitability
*Analytical support on regional profitability by office, team, matter and client, this will include reviewing the resourcing model and regional cost bases in order to optimise service delivery and utilisation levels
*Budgeting, re-forecasting, financial analysis and reporting within the firm's matrix reporting structure
*Local support and advice on the pricing of bids, tenders and client proposals
*Implementing on the firm's strategy and local business plans
*Preparing necessary information to support proposals of new partners, team hires and fee earner promotions
*Assisting and supporting with ad hoc projects as required
Additional roles will include:
Working as part of the business management/decision support team within finance, ensuring consistency of approach and appropriate use of data
*Assist with the development of business solutions and processes to meet requirements of the firm's clients, ensuring consistency of high quality service throughout the firm
*Work closely with the practice group business managers to ensure co-ordination between practice group objectives, sectors, the region and the firm's strategy
*Promote connectivity across the business service functions to ensure services are delivered efficiently to fee earners and the business
*Act as a point of support for regional business service managers and as a point of contact for UK heads of business services
For this Business Manager role, they are looking for you to be a qualified accountant with significant experience in a management or operational role, ideally within a law firm.
Prior experience working with a varied/ cross functional team is required alongside excellent communication and presentation skills and international exposure. You must be a strategic thinker with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
