Billing Assistant

Are you an immediately available experienced legal biller looking for your next opportunity? If so, a brilliant opportunity has arisen to join a Magic Circle law firm in their billing team.
As the Biller you will be responsible for providing assistance and support to the Billing Team within the London Office. The role is extremely busy you will need to be able to work as part of a team and be able to work to tight deadlines. As you will be assisting up to 15 other colleagues you need to be able to prioritise your workload effectively and be able to interpret various instructions. You will find you have exceptionally busy periods, particularly at month end, quarter ends and year end, when overtime will be expected in accordance with our overtime policy.

Specific duties include:

Review and prepare Trade Mark bills
Amending, authorising, printing bills
Collating documentation to go with bills
Chase outstanding draft bills (to include outstanding timesheets)
Being responsible for Trade Mark Billing and liaising with partner and associates
Amend attachments/breakdowns (transfers / time splits)
Prepare pre bill guides/draft invoices
Bill attachments using new formula where applicable, create breakdowns (with time summaries)
Amend pre bill / draft invoices
Liaise with external suppliers counsel fee requests etc
Run WIP reports and online reports

To be successful in your application, you will need to have previous experience of working within a billing or revenue team within a Professional Service firm environment (this is non-negotiable) and also be able to work well in a team and be really to start work immediately.
