Your Role

As an Associate Director, you'll take on a leadership position within the team, working with major clients across a range of sectors including Financial Services, Real Estate, Public Sector, Consumer, Energy, Technology, and more.

You'll have the opportunity to specialise in a particular industry or operate across a diverse portfolio, depending on your interests.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading client engagements and delivering high-quality Indirect Tax advice
• Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, working closely with senior stakeholders
• Managing and developing high-performing teams, including mentoring junior staff
• Overseeing technical research and translating complex tax matters into practical solutions
• Contributing to business development by identifying new opportunities and growing client relationships
• Keeping ahead of developments in areas such as e-invoicing, digital VAT reporting, and AI in tax
• Supporting and collaborating with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives

You'll also gain exposure to a wide variety of work, from large-scale property transactions and international supply chain structuring to corporate transactions and global advisory projects.

What You'll Bring

You'll be an experienced Indirect Tax professional with a strong technical foundation and a commercial mindset. You'll be confident leading engagements and building trusted client relationships.

Key requirements include:

• Extensive VAT experience gained in practice, industry, or a regulatory environment
• Strong knowledge of UK VAT legislation and case law
• Proven experience delivering complex advisory work and leading client engagements
• Experience managing and developing teams
• Professional qualification (ATT, CTA or equivalent preferred)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and taking ownership of client portfolios
