Senior Business Development Manager - Global Employment

We have partnered with a global law firm to bring in an experienced Legal Business Development professional to work alongside the Head of BD to lead on their employment group. The role will have significant visibility within the global BD team and will have strategic responsibility for the global group. Alongside a high profile role, the firm also has a great culture with an ethos around developing and promoting talent, with a large number of the senior leadership team having been promoted through the ranks. In addition to the mid-long term career development opportunities, we also believe the culture of the business is one that places high emphasis on being collegiate and team focused.

Core responsibilities for the role will include;

  • Work with the partners on key client initiatives, being responsible for facilitating the client onboarding process, key account management & client targeting processes. This will require you to work with regional specific clients alongside multinational clients.
  • Be responsible for setting the sectors approach to campaigns and targeted marketing projects, providing ideas on innovation to maximise ROI, you will be responsible for the strategy and implementation of this.
  • Engaging with the partners on improving the pitch strategy in relation to new client business, the firm does operate with a centralised pitch team so whilst the role won't be bids heavy, you will be expected to provide direction in this area.
  • You will also have the responsibility of managing a small team of marketing & business development professionals, where you will take charge of their career development alongside utilising their skills to help implement the marketing, business development & client mix.

We would be very keen to engage individuals who have worked in an employment sector/practice group previously and would be keen to take on a global role, we would also welcome engagement from individuals who are operating and either management or senior management level.
