Senior Business Development Manager - Brussels

We are working with a leading global law firm to appoint a Senior Business Development Manager to support its highly regarded Antitrust, Competition & Trade (ACT) practice in Brussels. This is a senior, highly visible role, partnering closely with partners and global stakeholders to drive client growth, shape go‑to‑market strategy and strengthen the firm's market position at the centre of EU competition law. The role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on delivery in a fast‑paced, international environment.

This is a full‑time, permanent role where the firm operate a flexible hybrid working policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted adviser to Brussels‑based partners, shaping and executing client development and go‑to‑market strategies
  • Lead high‑value pitch and proposal strategy, including complex cross‑border and fast‑turnaround mandates
  • Drive client targeting, market analysis and opportunity spotting, using data, horizon scanning and client insight
  • Oversee marketing, thought leadership, events, campaigns and directory submissions to enhance visibility and reputation
  • Mentor team members, contributing to a high‑performing, collaborative global BD function

Experience Required

  • Significant senior‑level business development experience within a law firm or professional services environment
  • Strong understanding of Antitrust, Competition, Trade or broader regulatory practices
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage complex, multi‑jurisdictional initiatives
  • High level of commercial acumen, with experience leveraging CRM systems, data and AI‑enabled BD tools
