Senior Business Development Manager

A leading global professional services firm is seeking a senior Business Development leader to support a top‑tier Antitrust, Competition & Trade practice on an 8‑month fixed‑term contract.

This is a high‑impact, hands‑on role working closely with senior partners to shape go‑to‑market strategy, drive client growth, and elevate the profile of a globally recognised practice across the UK, Europe, the US and Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver focused BD and marketing strategies for London‑based partners, with international reach
• Act as a trusted adviser to partners on client targeting, growth opportunities and pitch strategy
• Own high‑value pitches, credentials and RFP responses, including fast‑turnaround and global bids
• Drive client feedback, key account initiatives and market intelligence
• Oversee thought leadership, campaigns, events, directories and awards submissions
• Leverage Salesforce and GenAI tools to enhance insight, efficiency and reporting
• Manage and develop two direct reports within a collaborative global team
• Support lateral partner integration and continuous improvement across BD activity

About you

• Senior BD professional from a professional services environment (legal preferred)
• Strong experience supporting regulatory, antitrust, litigation or complex advisory practices
• Commercial, confident and credible with senior stakeholders
• Highly organised, resilient and comfortable operating at pace
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent with digital tools, CRM systems and practical AI applications
• People‑focused leader with a coaching mindset
• Additional languages advantageous
