Private Client Tax Senior Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Tax Senior Manager to join a well-established and highly regarded private client tax practice.

This is a broad, advisory-led role working with an interesting and complex portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs and business owners, including clients with international interests.

You will take ownership of key client relationships, oversee complex compliance matters and lead on a variety of tax planning and advisory projects. Alongside client work, you will play an important role in developing the team, supporting business development and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and developing relationships with a portfolio of HNW and UHNW individuals, families and business owners
• Advising clients on a broad range of UK and international personal tax matters
• Leading complex tax planning and advisory projects, working closely with clients and their wider professional advisers
• Overseeing the delivery of complex personal tax compliance work and ensuring deadlines and quality standards are maintained
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional advisory support to existing clients
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients and building strong, long-term relationships
• Reviewing work and providing technical guidance to more junior members of the team
• Coaching and developing team members, supporting their ongoing progression
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across other tax and advisory specialisms
• Supporting business development initiatives and helping to build new client and intermediary relationships
• Contributing to the wider strategy and continued growth of the Private Client practice

About You

You are likely to be an experienced Private Client Tax Senior Manager, or an established Manager ready to take a significant step up in responsibility.

You will ideally have:

• Strong experience advising HNW individuals and private clients
• A good balance of complex compliance and advisory experience
• Strong UK personal tax knowledge, ideally with exposure to internationally connected clients
• Experience managing a portfolio and developing senior client relationships
• The confidence to lead advisory projects and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
• Previous experience managing, coaching and developing junior colleagues
• A commercial mindset and interest in business development
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA and/or CTA, although equivalent experience will also be considered
