VAT Manager

The Opportunity

As a VAT Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality VAT advice to a varied portfolio of clients, ranging from entrepreneurial businesses to large multinational organisations.

You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of client relationships, work closely with senior VAT specialists, and support the development of junior colleagues. The role also offers exposure to international VAT matters and wider indirect tax issues.

What You'll Be Doing

Manage Client Relationships

You'll build trusted relationships with clients, providing a high level of service and acting as a key point of contact on VAT matters.

Deliver Technical VAT Advice

You'll identify complex VAT issues, provide practical and commercially focused solutions, and support clients across a wide range of industries and transactions.

Work Across Service Lines

You'll collaborate with colleagues across tax, accounting and advisory teams to deliver holistic solutions and add value to client relationships.

Support Growth Initiatives

You'll contribute to business development activities, identify opportunities within existing client relationships, and help grow the indirect tax practice.

Develop Junior Team Members

You'll mentor and support junior colleagues, helping to build a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

What We're Looking For

You'll ideally have:

• CTA qualification or equivalent indirect tax experience.
• Strong VAT advisory experience gained within practice.
• The ability to provide clear, practical and commercially focused advice.
• Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in developing others.
