Financial Accountant

This top law firm are looking for a Financial Accountant to join a high-performing finance team, delivering a high-quality accounting service and supporting the wider business with accurate, insightful financial information. Key Responsibilities in this Financial Accountant role -

• Prepare and post monthly accruals and prepayments across multiple entities
• Maintain and manage the fixed asset register
• Perform bank postings and reconciliations
• Coordinate and review monthly P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support quarterly VAT/GST return preparation and submission
• Play a key role in the preparation of annual statutory accounts and audit processes, liaising with external auditors
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities in collaboration with FP&A
• Respond to ad-hoc information requests and perform data analysis
• Contribute ideas to improve systems, processes, and reporting
• Support a variety of finance-related projects as required

To be successful in this Financial Accountant role -

• Fully qualified accountant with strong financial and management accounting experience
• Experience in professional services or a complex multi-entity environment is advantageous
• Knowledge of IFRS (including IFRS 16) and group consolidations is desirable
• Comfortable working with large datasets, with good Excel skills (SQL knowledge beneficial)
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset
• Proactive, inquisitive, and keen to challenge and improve existing processes
