Finance Business Analyst

This top law firm are looking for a Group Finance Business Analyst to join a collaborative Business Management team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone part-qualified, or keen to study towards a professional qualification, who is looking to gain hands-on experience and exposure to senior stakeholders.

You will work closely with senior finance leaders, supporting financial performance, business planning, and decision-making through insightful analysis and reporting.

For this opportunity they are actually open to this individual being located in any of their UK offices, some of which include London, Birmingham, Leeds & Manchester.

Key Responsibilities as the Group Finance Business Analyst

Supporting Financial Performance

  • Assist with month-end processes including data collection, reconciliations, and draft commentary
  • Support reporting on KPIs, utilisation, and trading performance
  • Maintain budgets and forecasts within financial systems
  • Respond to financial queries from stakeholders across the business

Business Planning Support

  • Contribute to resource planning and headcount tracking
  • Assist in preparing materials for leadership meetings and planning cycles
  • Support firmwide processes such as performance reviews and remuneration planning

Commercial Insight & Analysis

  • Assist with pricing analysis and financial input into proposals
  • Support commercial decision-making through analytical insights

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting and processes
  • Support implementation of new systems and improved ways of working Collaboration
  • Partner with finance teams across the business
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and initiatives

What We're Looking For in this Group Finance Business Analyst

  • Studying towards (or interested in) ACCA, ACA or CIMA
  • Experience in a finance, analytical, or business support role
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with good Excel capability
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with confidence engaging stakeholders
