I'm looking for an External Communications Manager who understands the power of a great story - someone who knows how to turn complex ideas into compelling narratives that people genuinely want to read, share and talk about.

Working for this impressive international law firm, you'll lead external communications activity across media, thought leadership, campaigns and corporate messaging, helping to shape how we are seen in the market. Whether it's securing impactful coverage, crafting sharp messaging, developing strategic content or managing reputation, you'll know how to land the right message with the right audience.

I'm looking for someone who is curious, creative and commercially aware - someone who loves the fast pace of communications and thrives on making an impact.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and delivering external communications strategies that strengthen brand profile and reputation
• Creating compelling content, thought leadership and media materials that cut through the noise
• Building strong relationships with journalists, stakeholders and senior leaders
• Identifying powerful stories and translating them into engaging external communications campaigns
• Managing media engagement and supporting reputation management activity
• Ensuring consistent, confident and authentic messaging across all external channels
• Monitoring trends, opportunities and issues within the market and media landscape

What I'm looking for

• Proven experience in external communications, PR or corporate communications
• Exceptional writing and storytelling skills
• A genuine passion for communications and brand reputation
• Strong media relations experience and confidence dealing with senior stakeholders
• The ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on and delivery-focused
• Creative instincts combined with sound judgement and attention to detail
• Someone proactive, collaborative and full of ideas
