The Marketing and Business Development department at this firm has been built in a non-traditional way for the legal sector. The team comprises specialists from backgrounds including PR, design, media, and the big-four accountants. In this role you will be reporting to the Senior Events Executive coordinating the logistics and execution of exciting bespoke events. Key responsibilities


  • Plan, coordinate and execute external and interal events with anywhere from 20 to 100 attendees
  • Collaborate with office resources and internal support teams (e.g. facilities, audio/visual, travel, etc.)
  • Work with MBD and CRM on electronic mailings
  • Order and maintain firms inventory of branded merchandise
  • Develop and manage event budgets, track budget statistics and prepare reports
  • Measure performance of event against objective using a variety of analytics e.g financial, attendance, engagement and prepare reports
  • Coordinate with the event lead on the creation and distribution of promotional pieces and other materials
  • Maintain pleasant and productive demeanour in stressful situations and determine appropriate responses to problems and emergencies
  • Venue sourcing and supplier research
  • Building and managing supplier relationships
  • Create venue proposals and make recommendations accordingly


Key relationships
This position works with lawyers, members of the global Events team and others in the wider Marketing & BD Department, as well as other staff to reinforce the firm's marketing and business development plans.

About You


  • You will have a hands-on approach and willingness to help across the global team
  • Ability to work independently on projects and demonstrate influencing skills
  • Ability to contribute to the development of events team processes/systems to enhance the client experience
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 5 times per year, including weekends (dependent on government guidelines)
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to work flexible hours as schedules demand and be on-call at meetings as needed
  • Ability to advise on practical and creative solutions
  • You will be highly personable, with excellent communication skills
  • You will have excellent organisation skills
  • You will be creative with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm
