Director - Corporate Tax

Job Title: Corporate Tax Director
Location: London
Salary: Up to £130,000 + benefits

Ambition are proud to be partnering up with one of the leading Acocuntancy firms in London, assisting them with a Director hire in their highly successful and well established Corporate Tax team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with and advise a large number of clients, mainly owner managed business from different industries and of different sizes, ranging from small start-ups to several hundred-million-pound turnover clients.

Responsibilities for this role include:

• Build and maintain tax relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service
• Research including on specific projects as appropriate
• To contribute to the efficient and successful delivery of tax services to the client
• Build relationships both within the firm and externally with clients, identifying opportunities and managing expectations
• Contribute to winning new work by proactively managing existing clients
• Manage the successful delivery of tax projects
• Responsible for day-to-day client liaison
• Provide full tax services to a client portfolio
• Reviewing corporation tax computations
• Managing HMRC enquiries on behalf of clients

Requirements for this role include:

• Strong technical skills and keen to develop further
• Experience of dealing confidently with a variety of business clients
• An outgoing approach with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and with clients
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to identify opportunities and to contribute to winning new work
• Proven ability to read and interpret existing and new tax statute
• Ability to identify areas of risk and carry out an effective review
• Client focus and commercial awareness
• Project management skills to plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines
• Ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically
• Maintain adequate CPD in all areas of tax
