Commercial Finance Business Manager

Commercial Finance Business Manager position now available at top 50 UK law firm working directly with the firms CFO to drive commercial awareness across the firm and improve profitably and performance.

As the Commercial Finance Business Manager you will be on hand to provide analysis and insight into the key issues facing the business which impact performance and profitability, and proactively explore opportunities to improve business performance.

You will also work closely with the CFO and Finance team on appraisal of strategic projects, investments and lateral recruitment and support the firm in developing their central pricing function.

Specific duties include:

• Work with the CFO to monitor profitability of industry groups, and support them to achieve budget and maximise profitability.
• Work with the CFO, the Finance team and more widely with the business as necessary on key strategic projects, to include financial modelling and project/investment appraisal.
• Support the Industry Group Leaders in the preparation of their annual revenue budgets.
• Assume responsibility for the pricing function, set the strategy on pricing and support the business in optimal pricing.
• Provide input into Finance and Finance Systems project, ensuring that the roadmap is in line with strategic objectives (upgrading their Finance PMS Elite 3e).
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis in relation to partner/group performance as well as preparing business cases and financial forecasts for lateral hires.

Experience needed includes:

• Previous background in working in a commercially focused finance business partnering role in a law firm or wider professional services firm.
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Good knowledge of Pricing structures within professional services.

Hybrid working offered at 60% office based VS 40% home based.
