Business Development Manager

We're working with a highly respected, independent real estate consultancy that advises on some of the UK's most complex, high‑value and strategically sensitive assets. With deep expertise across planning, advisory and transactional services, the firm partners with clients to unlock value through insight‑led, collaborative solutions.

They are now looking to hire a Business Development Manager to play a key role in driving strategic growth across the business.


The Role

This is a pivotal position sitting at the heart of the firm's growth agenda. You'll work closely with senior partners and client leads to shape and deliver a data‑led, client‑focused business development strategy, aligned to priority markets and sectors.

You'll bring structure, insight and commercial rigour to BD activity - helping leaders spot opportunities, strengthen relationships and execute joined‑up, conviction‑led initiatives across the firm.


Key Responsibilities

  • Shape and deliver end‑to‑end BD activity aligned to priority sectors and growth ambitions
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities, strengthen client relationships and drive cross‑selling
  • Use data, market intelligence and client insight to inform strategy, highlight risks and guide decision‑making
  • Act as a voice of the client, ensuring BD plans reflect real commercial needs and long‑term objectives
  • Maintain accurate BD pipelines, dashboards and CRM data, providing clear reporting on performance and ROI
  • Collaborate with marketing, finance, bids and data teams on integrated campaigns and client initiatives
  • Support market‑facing activity, including events, pitches and thought‑led content

About You

  • Proven experience in business development or marketing within professional services (built environment exposure beneficial but not essential)
  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and influencing at partner level
  • Commercially astute, with strong analytical skills and confidence working with data
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery
  • Highly organised, proactive and comfortable operating in a matrix environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing high‑quality client materials
