I work on the Temporary, Interim and Contract BD, Marketing and Communications desk. My role supports the Principal Consultant to source candidates across the legal sector for a variety of roles which include entry level up to senior manager roles. The specialisms we focus on are Marketing, Campaign, Business Development, Events, InterAction, CRM, Bids and Proposals, PR, Internal Communications, Research/Analysis, Digital/Online/Web.

Working with the candidates is rewarding as you are essentially supporting their personal development and growth in helping them find their next exciting new role!

My background

After studying Business at London Metropolitan University, I decided to specialise in HR and completed a Postgraduate in Human Resources Management, in conjunction with the CIPD, where I am still an associate member.

I began my career as a HR Assistant and progressed to Manager/Business Partner level. My sector experience has predominately been within Education where Recruitment has always been a key focus from business support level to senior leadership roles (including Headteacher/Principal level).I thoroughly enjoyed this aspect of HR from job profile/advert writing, planning selection processes and meeting candidates. It always been incredibly rewarding especially when you source the best candidate!

After some reflection earlier this year I recognised I wanted to focus on recruitment where I could support perspective candidates achieve their career aspirations and joined the Ambition team.

Outside of work

I am a mum to three amazing children (two boys and a girl) who keep me busy and on my toes! I volunteer at my daughter’s school with various fun fund-raising event which also allows me to socialise and network with other parents. Mental wellbeing is very important to me, and I believe it is important to set time aside for yourself each day which is how I found my love for strength and HIIT training, so I exercise 5-6 times per week! When I have the time, I also love meeting close friends for a catch up which usually involves good food or listening to live music! I am currently reading Drive by Daniel H. Pink, which is about ‘The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us’. It is an interesting read about a new understanding of what truly motivates us!
