How part-time work could help with securing marketing jobs

University leavers may be able to increase their chances of finding a job if they can demonstrate to their interviewer that that have part-time or voluntary work experience.

In news that may be of interest to those looking for marketing jobs in London, Tanya de Grunwald, founder of career advice website GraduateFog.co.uk, said that doing something is always better than doing nothing.

This means that as young people continue to search for jobs within the field they wish to work, they could also take on additional employment in order to avoid having any employment gaps on their CVs.

"Have faith that future employers will recognise that you were overqualified for that bar job/envelope stuffing gig and [will] be impressed that you took what you could get," Ms Grunwald explained.

She added that a strong work ethic would be attractive to recruiters.

Her comments come after the Association of Investment Companies revealed that 55 per cent of students are concerned they will be unable to find a job when they graduate.
