Prospects for those seeking marketing jobs 'look positive'

The prospects for individuals seeking marketing jobs in the UK look good, new research suggests.
According to the latest Report on Jobs published by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) and KPMG, permanent staff placements went up for the sixth month in a row during January.
It also revealed that the demand for temporary and contract staff rose slightly during the 31-day period.
"The number of vacancies reported by recruitment businesses also accelerated at the sharpest rate since July 2007, suggesting that we are now on the long road to recovery," stated REC chief executive Kevin Green.
He went on to suggest that the employment market is "out of intensive care" following the recession.
However, it remains in a "fragile state", he claimed, adding that the government should refrain from introducing more businesses taxes and changing regulations.
Last month, the Office for National Statistics revealed that the UK's economy had officially returned to growth, although only by a small margin.
