ONS figures 'should be treated with caution by people seeking tax jobs'

Those currently searching for tax jobs have been advised to not get too optimistic about new figures released by the Office for National Statistics.
The end of the recession in the UK has been marked by data showing that the gross domestic product of the country rose by 0.1 per cent in the last quarter of 2009, however the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) has said that the economy is still fragile.
Ian McCafferty, chief economic adviser at the CBI, explained: "There are some signs of life for the UK consumer and manufacturing exports, but otherwise private sector activity remains very sluggish."
He added that expectations for growth in the coming months are "lacklustre", even when estimates are revised upwards and tax job hunters may not feel like the economy has recovered at all.
Chancellor Alistair Darling recently told the BBC that the government took the right decisions during the recession in order to get the UK economy back on track.
