PwC named best brand for professional services

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has come in at seventh place in the annual Top 50 Brands of British Origin list.

The firm is the highest-ranked professional services organisation to appear in the list, which has been compiled by Brand Finance.

PwC joins several leading British companies including Marks & Spencer, Virgin, Orange, Vodafone, Tesco and the BBC.

Ian Powell, chairman at senior partner at the organisation, said: "We are delighted to receive this recognition and to be ranked alongside so many classic British brands is particularly satisfying.

PwC employs around 16,000 people in the UK, many of whom do accountancy jobs in London.
