Graduates offered job tips

An employment expert has offered a series of tips to people looking for graduate jobs this summer.
Chris Morrall, managing director at graduate assessment firm Talent Transitions, explained that both a good degree and a certain amount of work experience were vital to securing a job.
He added that employers are still recruiting, particularly those in the small to medium-sized enterprises sector.
"You have to get your CV right, you have to make sure that there are no spelling mistakes on it," Mr Morrall advised.
"Always put your CV across two or three people to check it before you send it to a company. Tailor it to a company. I'd say less applications, better quality, tailored to the organisation, don't just spam things over."
Earlier this year, a study by the Association for Graduate Recruiters found that one-third of firms were still actively recruiting. One of these is PricewaterhouseCoopers, which is offering 1,000 new roles this year, which include a number of
tax jobs.
