As a senior manager you would be responsible for running an operations team that cover a wide range of functions that support the physical commodities business. Day to day the team manage the trade confirmation process, the entire settlement function, new account opening and approval processes, and inventory management. You will ensure the smooth running of the team and review the current management structure. You will also be responsible for enhancing the control framework and managing risk across each aspect of the team's processes. The role requires someone very hands-on, a strong problem solver who can analyse work flows and implement tactical and strategic improvements to processes and procedures. You must be a confident and articulate communicator as you will be regularly facing off to front office and senior management across the business, and be able to drive new ideas and champion change.
