Sales & Relationship Development Assistant Manager or Manager

The role of Sales & Relationship Development Assistant Manager or Manager at a leading advisory firm requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in business development and professional services.

With the overarching purpose of driving profitable growth, this person will play a key role in building relationships both internally and externally to win new work and maximise client relationships. They will need to work closely with the partner group and BD team to ensure alignment of messaging and process

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building strong relationships with partners to drive fee growth.
  • Generating potential revenue through proactive and reactive sales techniques.
  • Identifying sales opportunities linked to changes in legislation, market, and economy.
  • Preparing bids and proposals, and delivering pitches for new business opportunities.
  • Referral and cross-selling within the firm to hit sales targets and achieve fee growth.
  • Maintaining market knowledge and sharing insights with the team.
  • Working closely with the BD team on campaigns and leveraging CRM data.
  • Influencing and supporting team strategic priorities and initiatives.
  • Collaborating for an efficient and aligned approach, sharing best practices and innovation.

Skills & Expertise:

  • Proven track record in sales and relationship management within professional services.
  • Confidence in building relationships with C-Suite executives.
  • Strong knowledge of sales methodologies and processes.
  • Excellent persuasion, influence, and challenge skills, with a collaborative work style.
  • Strong communication skills and commercial acumen.
  • Enthusiasm and energy to take initiative and drive processes.
  • Networking skills to quickly establish relationships and trust.
  • Confidence in presenting and chairing meetings.
  • Analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fast learning ability and resilience under pressure.
